Streamtuner

I am in work on what will go into MyWolfe-020 and I myself have found that streamtuner is not working. The Shoutcast plugin is not able to interpret the web site feeds again, this seams to be a ongoing theme with shoutcast. If anybody has any suggestion as to a replacement please let me know.

Puppylinux-4.3.1 users

If you are running Puppylinux-4.3.1 and trying to get this dev pet of Google-Chrome to run there is a issue with linux.cc and Puppylinux-4.3.1 the only fix I have found that will work is you will have to delete the chrome-sandbox. You can find it in /opt/google/chrome dir. This is not the best salution but is all that I have found to work. If anybody finds anything better please let me know so I can pass on the word.

Gogglesmm in MyWolfe-019

I found that I had forgot to include the libtag file in MyWolfe-019 when I built the final version so I have created a pet and put it up for download. If you have tried to run gogglesmm and it failed just get this pet and it will go back to working just fine.

Again if you have any probles with MyWolfe-019 or any other program from my code site just submit a issue here and I will do my best to fix it.

Google-chrome 6.0.466.0 Development is out

A little late but have been working. The lastest development is out and with some new fetures the one that I seen right off is the added menu in the config meue. Add the next thing was the adding of a down arrow for the main pan, this I find of a good thing I like using my mouse to move up and down in the pages I view. Here are the release notes from Google-chrome blog.

The Dev channel has been updated to 6.0.466.0 for Windows and Linux

All
  • Late binding enabled for SSL sockets:  High priority SSL requests are now always sent to the server first.
  • The extension api “chrome.idle” has moved out of experimental and now has its own permission: “idle”.
Windows
  • Fixed crash with SPNEGO authentication on intranet sites.
Linux
  • Flickering favicons on Ubuntu Maverick should be fixed.  (There are other graphical glitches, but those also appear in other apps, so that appears to not be our bug.)
  • Content settings window now uses a list instead of tabs.and Remove unnecessary MIMEType field from application shortcuts.
More details about additional changes are available in the svn log of all revision.

You can find out about getting on the Dev channel here:http://dev.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel.

If you find new issues, please let us know by filing a bug athttp://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/entry

MyWolfe source tree

I am not to sure how many peaple will be interested in this but I have completed putting up at my site MyWolfe all the source files I used to make MyWolfe-019. There is also a list of all the files on the iso listed in the root folder .packages it is a hidden folder so just left click on the little eye and you will find the folder. This another of Barry's great idles and in this way each puplet will have the list and you can also check what folder they went into.

Enjoy

MyWolfe 019

This release of MyWolfe has a few new items in it and I have moved back up to the Xorg-7.5 now that I have things working right. It also has Xserver-1.7.1 it is close to one of Barry Kauler's Quirky build.

Thanks to scOtman for the program jwm-wallpaper, but I had to edit some because of the wbar. Wbar is at the top of the screen and I like it. Some who tried MyWolfe-018 got to see my first attempt at wbar I have come to understand it more now.

Again thanks to jemimah for here pwireless2 I have put pwireless2-1.0 in and it is doing a great job. She also introduce me to gogglesmm and I still have it in most of my builds.

Because of scOtman I was able to build a few small scripts to allow a user to change the system sounds though the control panel found on the wbar.
There is one to change the startup sound, one for shutdown sound, and last but not least, one for reboot sound.

Rox is back to being the default file manager, to put is simply it just works it may not have all the features I may want but it works. But I did disable the pinboard so as to allow Jwm to control the background image.

You can see screen shot of MyWolfe-019 here. I am using the same images as MyWolfe-018 for nothing has changed in the gui part.

It still has Gimp-2.6.8 I know there out the 2.6.10 but I have not had the time to work with it and Barry does a better job of it than me.

It has Picasa to help you organize and do simple editing of your pictures and if you want you can create and upload to a online data base and never lose them.

As with all my last builds it has Google-chrome 5.0.375.99 stable I did not put in the development release for I was not sure if it was ready for prime time.

I also want to thank Barry Kauler for his fine work on the woof build system I have come to know it inside and out. What a learning experience.

Last note is if a pet will run in Quirky it should then run in MyWolfe for I have not change any of the libs.

You can download it here MyWolfe-019

MyWolfe Source Tree

Hi Puppy Fans

I am now learning about subversion control and will soon have a source tree on my site that will allow you to view what is in MyWolfe. I should of started this in the beginning. We all have to learn as we go along. That being said I will be setting the source tree to show what will be in the upcoming MyWolfe 019. I plan on keeping the source tree updated as I go along. I have learned that 50% of a project is documentation, 25% code review and 25% building of the program. I have not been doing that and that will change starting now.

Enjoy

Updated Gcompris

I have been doing some checking on sfs's that I have made and found a way to put in links to other files. I had to do it in a round about way but it works. I copied the original file to the sfs then made the link and recombine it into a sfs tested it with my new MyWolfe-018 and it worked just fine. So if you have a kid at home that needs a learning tool that is a game so they do not know that they are leaning here it is.

You can download it here.

MyWolfe 018

This release is based around Quirky and has the 2.6.34 kernel. I have done the normal things to wolfeized it like cleared the desk top and clean out the menu system some. I have updated the Control Panel to add the new backgound change thanks to scOtman it was his little program that I used to have a desk top changer and it is simple but affective. I also use it as a model to make the Startup, Shutdown and Reboot sound changers for this release. I have gone back to Rox as the file manager plainly because it works and Thunar had a bug in the jpeg thumbnailer and I was unable to get around it. For multimedia I have gone back to my faveriate program Xine. I put in a remoded Streamer to work with Xine. And thanks to Jemimah for introducing me to gogles-mm and you will find it in multimedia. I am also using the wbar by scOtman instead of my hacked top bar it looks good and I like the affects it has.

You can download it here.
